Multiple Affiliates Of Susan G. Komen Choose Miami Marketing Firm To Promote Events & Cause
The Weinbach Group Adds Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Affiliate, Extends Contract With Palm Beach/Martin/St. Lucie Affiliate
MIAMI, Florida, August 26, 2014 – The Weinbach Group, a leading Miami ad agency with a long track record of success in the healthcare and nonprofit sectors, added two accounts – both with the same name – to its roster. Susan G. Komen® Miami/Ft. Lauderdale selected The Weinbach Group to handle its advertising, public relations, and email marketing for its flagship fundraising event, the Race for the Cure®. And Susan G. Komen® South Florida, which serves Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie Counties, renewed its contract for the fourth consecutive year with the Miami-based healthcare advertising agency.
"Our neighbors to the north at Komen South Florida in Palm Beach have shared many success stories as a result of their partnership with The Weinbach Group," said Cathy McCarthy, executive director of Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale. "Now, we have the good fortune of being able to apply Weinbach's experience in Palm Beach and their knowledge about Komen to our market, which includes Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe Counties."
Susan G. Komen is the world's largest breast cancer organization, and its well-known Race for the Cure events attract thousands of participants in communities throughout the U.S. However, with increasing competition from other charity-sponsored walks and runs, its not unusual for a local affiliate to engage a professional marketing communications firm like The Weinbach Group to effectively promote events and support yearlong giving.
For the Florida Komen affiliates The Weinbach Group will utilize its expertise as a healthcare marketing firm to provide full-service advertising and public relations services, including the development of campaigns for print, radio, and digital media, as well as negotiating in-kind advertising agreements, liaising with media sponsors, and managing email campaigns.
"Nothing is more rewarding as a professional than to have a client refer you to a colleague except, perhaps, having a client re-commit to an existing partnership," said Daniel Weinbach, president and CEO of The Weinbach Group. "Now we have to demonstrate their confidence in us is well deserved."
