MIAMI, Florida, October 30, 2013 The Weinbach Group, a leading healthcare marketing firm, announced today that HealthFusion, Inc., the California-based developer of MediTouch EHR, selected the Miami public relations firm to promote its electronic medical records system to pediatricians who work with and refer patients to Miami Children's Hospital. The EHR system will be private-labeled as "Miami Children's Pediatric Electronic Data System" or "P.E.D.S." and will be available this year.

HealthFusion selected The Weinbach Group based on its national reputation as healthcare marketing experts and for its depth of understanding of the South Florida physician community. "Florida has always been an important market for our MediTouch EHR," said Dr. Sol Lizerbram, chairman and co-founder of HealthFusion. "This partnership with Miami Children's Hospital is cutting edge. It represents a significant market opportunity, so we wanted a healthcare advertising agency that could effectively reach pediatricians in South Florida and throughout the entire region."

The Weinbach Group has already begun promoting the Miami Children's/MediTouch partnership. The firm announced the novel arrangement at the American Academy of Pediatrics National Conference and Exhibition that was held earlier this week in Orlando and that attracted more than 7,000 children's health professionals.

"This electronic medical records system will allow pediatricians to seamlessly connect with Miami Children's Hospital's internal systems to share vital medical data," said Daniel Weinbach, chief operating officer for The Weinbach Group. "It's a major advancement toward integrating care between community physicians and the hospitals they work with, and we're proud to have an important role in the process."

The Weinbach Group has a long history of delivering effective marketing services to a wide variety of healthcare organizations, from managed care companies to hospitals and health systems, including more than a decade of work for the University of Miami's Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. It currently serves as Jackson Health System's agency of record, for which it developed the award winning "Miracles Made Daily" campaign.
