Miami-Based Marketing Firm Wins Big In National Healthcare Advertising Awards Competition
June 17, 2011MIAMI, Florida, June 17, 2011 – The Weinbach Group, a leading Florida-based advertising and marketing communications firm that specializes in healthcare marketing, announced today that it won six top honors – including three gold awards – at the 28th Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards. Sponsored by the industry publication Healthcare Marketing Report, the annual competition is the oldest, largest and most widely respected contest to honor healthcare industry marketing and advertising work, and attracted nearly 4,000 entries this year. The Weinbach Group's wins raised its total number of Healthcare Advertising Awards to 17.
The Weinbach Group won all of its awards for work created on behalf of UHealth – University of Miami Health System and two of UHealth's hospitals, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and University of Miami Hospital. In fact, The Weinbach Group's work on behalf of UHealth won more awards than any other South Florida hospital or health system.
The Weinbach Group won gold awards for a billboard promoting CyberKnife technology; a direct mail piece to encourage women turning 40 to start annual mammography screenings; and a newsletter distributed to nearly a quarter million consumers that explored medical advancements available at UHealth's hospitals. The agency also won bronze awards for a CyberKnife newspaper ad and an online branding ad, as well as merit award for a mammography online ad.
