Phil has more than 35 years of communications experience, and he holds APR Accreditation from the Public Relations Society of America.

Immediately prior to establishing The Weinbach Group in 1987, Phil was Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications of CenTrust Savings Bank, and before that, for nearly eight years he was a principal marketing communications and public relations executive with Ryder System, Inc.

For more than six years, he was a member of the executive staff of Fleishman-Hillard, now, one of the world’s largest PR firms. He also served as Director of Communications for the St. Louis Regional Commerce and Growth Association, headed the marketing communications program of the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at Rochester Institute of Technology, and handled technical communications for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft.

Phil earned his Master’s degree in Public Relations from Boston University and his Bachelor’s degree in English and Journalism from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a Past President of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Miami Chapter, and served at the national level on PRSA’s nominating and ethics committees. His work won the U.S. Industrial Film Festival's Creative Excellence Citation and the Council For The Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Exceptional Achievement Award.

He has also served on the Boards of Directors of the Association of Public Corporations and Sunrise Community.
